The Elder Panthers look ahead to the new decade, new century, and new millennium with energy and optimism. Having returned to the playoffs in 1999, the Panthers face a wider variety of opponents and expect to make a greater regional impact, facing teams from Kentucky, Indianapolis, and Northern Ohio. In 2000, the Panthers became the first Cincinnati team to win in the new Paul Brown Stadium, and in 2002 became the only area team to reach the Regional Finals for four consecutive years. The 2002 team defeated St. Xavier twice after losing six consecutive times to the Bombers, won the City Championship, and won Coach Doug Ramsey his first Regional Championship and the school's first State Football Championship. The 2003 Panthers again went 14-1 on the way to a second consecutive state title, the first by a local team since 1980. The 2008 Panthers won the GCL Title, City Championship, and Regional Title, but were defeated in the state finals by Cleveland St. Ignatius. The 2009 Panthers were eliminated in the state semi-finals by eventual state-champion Hilliard Davidson.
